1 tablespoongrated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. The hardest part is removing the cheese sticks from their wrappers.
  2. Cut each mozzarella stick in half.
  3. Place the mozzarella sticks on parchment paper lined on a baking sheet that fits in your freezer.
  4. Freeze the baking sheet with the sticks for 25 minutes.
  5. After 25 minutes, set up your breading: place the flour in one bowl.
  6. In a second bowl beat the eggs until nice and frothy.
  7. In a third bowl mix the panko, Parmesan and seasonings (Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder) well.
  8. Dip each frozen mozzarella stick into the flour, then the egg wash, then the bread-crumb mixture.
  9. Return the coated sticks to the parchment-lined baking sheet as you go.
  10. Freeze them again for about 1 hour.
  11. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (this is one of the few recipes worth preheating for).
  12. Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray so they don't stick.
  13. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  14. Spray the mozzarella sticks while in the air fryer for a nice golden colour, and cook for 6 minutes at 200°C.
  15. Plate, serve and enjoy!
