A copycat of Buffalo Wild Wings' Spicy Garlic sauce — a buttery, garlicky Frank's RedHot-based sauce thickened with an egg yolk and cornstarch slurry, then tossed with cooked wings.

Ingredients

1 cup (240 ml)Frank's RedHot Sauce
1/3 cup (80 ml)vegetable oil
2 teaspoonssugar
2 teaspoonsgarlic powder
1/2 teaspoonpepper
1/2 teaspooncayenne pepper
1 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon (14 g)butter
1egg yolk
3 teaspoons (15 ml)water
3 teaspoonscornstarch
1-2 dozencooked wings

Instructions

  1. Combine the hot sauce, vegetable oil, sugar, garlic powder, pepper, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce and butter in a small saucepan and stir to mix. Heat over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Combine the egg yolk, water and cornstarch in a small bowl and whisk until fully combined. Whisk this mixture into the cooled sauce.
  3. Toss the cooked wings in the sauce and serve!
