2bay leaves
1rosemary sprig
1 tablespoon15 mlcider vinegar
2 tablespoons30 mlcornstarch
1 tablespoon15 mlolive oil
1 teaspoon5 mlonion powder
—salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons30 mlsake
2 tablespoons30 mlpickled red ginger
1 cup240 mlbeef broth
2 clovesgarlic, minced
2 pounds905 gbeef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 teaspoon5 mlhot sauce

Instructions

  1. In a ceramic bowl, place the meat, Shoyu sauce, brown sugar, garlic, cider vinegar, sake, ginger, and hot sauce. Let it marinate for 2 hours.
  2. Discard the marinade and toss the beef cubes with the cornstarch.
  3. Press the "Sauté" button and heat the oil until sizzling. Brown the beef cubes for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring periodically.
  4. Add the onion powder, bay leaves, rosemary sprig, salt, black pepper, and beef broth.
  5. Secure the lid. Choose the "Meat/Stew" mode and cook for 35 minutes at High pressure. Once cooking is complete, use a quick pressure release; carefully remove the lid.
  6. Slowly stir in the whisked eggs and press the "Sauté" button. Continue to cook until the eggs are done.
  7. Serve over steamed rice.
