KFC-Style Zinger Burger Buns (Copycat)
Homemade soft burger buns in the style of KFC's Zinger burger — a milk-and-yeast enriched dough with egg whites and butter, topped with sesame seeds and baked until golden.

Ingredients
| 125 ml | lukewarm milk |
| 1/2 tablespoon | dry yeast |
| 300 g | flour (maida) |
| 2 tablespoons | sugar (use 1 tbsp for proofing the yeast) |
| 1/2 teaspoon | salt |
| 2 | egg whites |
| 30 g | unsalted butter |
| for topping | sesame seeds |
Instructions
- Warm the milk to lukewarm and proof the yeast in it with 1 tablespoon of the sugar until foamy.
- Combine the flour, remaining 1 tablespoon sugar and the salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg whites and softened butter, and knead to a smooth, soft dough.
- Cover and let rise until doubled. Divide into buns, shape into rounds and place on a lined tray. Let rise again until puffy.
- Brush the tops and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 10-12 minutes in the middle of the oven, until golden. Cool before slicing.
