| 2 tsp | 10 ml | cumin seeds |
| 2 tsp | 10 ml | salt |
| 2 tsp | 10 ml | ground black pepper |
| 8 | apples - peeled, cored, and sliced | |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | vegetable oil |
| 1.5 cups | 360 ml | pork stock |
Instructions
Ready in: 23 min · Prep time: 10 min · Cook time: 13 min. Servings: 4/6/8/10 (6 Quart / 8 Quart).
- Sprinkle pork chops with cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Select "Sauté" on pressure cooker; add oil to inner steel pot. Brown chops on one side only, 3 to 5 minutes; put browned chops on a plate. Press Cancel.
- Put apple slices into the inner steel pot of pressure cooker. Arrange pork chops onto apples, brown-sides up, overlapping as needed. Pour any juice from the plate over the pork; add stock around the edges.
- Close lid and set valve to Sealing. Select Meat/Stew and cook for 10 minutes at High pressure. Set steam vent handle to Venting to quick-release pressure. A thermometer inserted near the center of each pork chop should read at least 145°F (63°C).
- Transfer pork chops to a serving platter. Spoon applesauce from pressure cooker over pork chops.
Mealthy Tip: If you can't find pork stock at the grocery store, you can substitute chicken or beef stock instead. Just before serving, top each pork chop with a few additional turns of freshly ground black pepper.
