Ingredients
| 2 cups | ice |
| 3/4 cup (180 ml) | milk (or Half & Half / whipping cream for a creamier drink) |
| 3 tablespoons (45 ml) | mango syrup |
| 1.5 tablespoons (22 ml) | vanilla syrup |
| 1.5 tablespoons (22 ml) | simple syrup |
| pinch (optional) | xanthan gum |
| to taste | pink/red food coloring |
| for topping | whipped topping |
| 1/4 cup (60 ml) | white chocolate sauce (for tart blue sauce) |
| 1/4 teaspoon | citric acid (for tart blue sauce) |
| to taste | blue food coloring |
| to taste | citric acid (for tart sprinkles) |
| optional | sugar (optional, for tart sprinkles) |
Instructions
- Make the frappuccino base: mix together all the frappuccino ingredients (ice, milk, mango syrup, vanilla syrup, simple syrup, a pinch of xanthan gum) and blend until smooth. For a pink color like Starbucks, blend in a few drops of pink or red food coloring until you reach the shade you want.
- Make the tart blue sauce: mix 1/4 teaspoon citric acid into 1/4 cup (60 ml) white chocolate sauce, then add blue food coloring. Start with less citric acid — you can always add more. Add the blue coloring gradually; a small amount goes a long way.
- Make the tart sprinkles: put some citric acid (and sugar if you like) in a zip-lock bag, drip in some pink food coloring, close the bag and mix well. Add more coloring until it is as bright as you want.
- Assemble: drizzle or squirt the tart blue sauce along the inside of the glass (or squirt it in while pouring the frappe so it mixes into the sweet drink).
- Fill the glass with the frappe. Add more tart sauce on top if you like, then finish with whipped topping.
- Top with the tart sprinkles or regular sugar sprinkles. Add a straw and enjoy — stir in the sauce for the best taste.
