
Taco Bell Chipotle Sauce
A copycat of Taco Bell's creamy chipotle sauce — smoky, tangy and mildly spicy, perfect drizzled over quesadillas, burritos and tacos. The original clipping was a link/photo page only, so the method below is a faithful reconstruction of the standard blended chipotle sauce.

Ingredients
| 1/2 cup (120 g) | mayonnaise |
| 1/2 cup (120 g) | sour cream |
| 2 | chipotle peppers in adobo |
| 1 tbsp (15 ml) | adobo sauce |
| 1 tbsp (15 ml) | lime juice |
| 1/4 tsp | garlic powder |
| 1/4 tsp | ground cumin |
| 1/2 tsp | sugar |
| to taste | salt |
Instructions
- Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, chipotle peppers in adobo and a spoon of the adobo sauce to a blender or food processor.
- Add the lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, sugar and salt.
- Blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime. For a thinner drizzle, blend in a little milk.
- Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld before serving.
