Ingredients
| 1 cup (240 ml) | tomato sauce |
| 1/2 cup (120 ml) | water |
| 2 tbsp (30 ml) | white vinegar |
| 1 tbsp | chili powder |
| 1 tsp | ground cumin |
| 1/2 tsp | garlic powder |
| 1/2 tsp | onion powder |
| 1/2 tsp | paprika |
| 1/4 tsp (to taste) | cayenne pepper |
| 1/2 tsp | sugar |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
Instructions
- Whisk the tomato sauce with the water in a small saucepan until smooth.
- Add the vinegar, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, sugar and salt and whisk to combine.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, then reduce and cook 5 minutes, stirring, until slightly thickened.
- Cool, then transfer to a squeeze bottle or jar. Store refrigerated up to 2 weeks.
